My advice to a Nigerian friend about Bitcoin

My advice is to first learn about Money and then about Bitcoin .... only after that would I advise investing in Bitcoin because otherwise you will become a gambler and not an investor. New bitcoiners panic and sell when the price falls while the FOMO (fear of missing out) will make them buy near the peaks.

then read this

Not sure what level of on knowledge is appropriate for you but try this class ...

Another free Bitcoin Course - but I fell asleep many times watching - is this

My advice is to create a separate email id, bank account, separate smart phone and mobile number for all Bitcoin related activities so that general people and the govt is not aware of your Bitcoin activities.

---------------------

BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT LOSE OR FORGET YOUR PASSWORDS.

---------------------

Also make sure your inheritors know how to retrieve your Bitcoin should something unfortunate happen to you. This is why I stress so much on education rather than on investing.

After you have finished studying from the above links (yes I know it looks like a lot of work but it is a new world and one has to unlearn decades - and even in some cases centuries - of brainwashing) , then with your new email ids and phone numbers sign up to the following places ...

Coinbase : https://www.coinbase.com/join/52a01e7c7ce1e83d7a0002ab

Local Bitcoins : https://localbitcoins.com/?ch=dab2

Vaultoro : www.vaultoro.com/?a=102360
